A good month with some great jazz releases. The interest in Dave Brubeck (who is 90 this year) continues with a number of good value multi CD re-releases and repackages of his music. Elsewhere ECM continues to pursue excellence in European jazz with a number of key releases. Discs by Russell Malone, Helio Alves, Kevin Eubanks and the excellent Thomas Marriott complete the picture. Oh, and an imaginative repackaging of Norah Jones' collaborations with the famous and noteworthy.....
